What We Deliver
Each independent professional has unique needs and expectations – and the same is true for the client organizations that rely on them. Our multiple services reflect and respect these differences, creating a far-reaching environment that enriches the contracting experience on both sides of the consultant-client relationship.

• Our signature service, “MBO Exec,” gives higher-end consultants a complete platform for achieving independent consulting excellence. MBO Exec removes the key challenges of independence: supplier qualification, compliance, contract administration, insurance, financial management, tax complexities, and more. MBO Exec also gives consultants instant credibility, opening the door to new contracts and powerful new client opportunities. Most importantly, MBO Exec lets consultants concentrate on what’s important: doing great work for their clients.
• Our “MBO Sub” service brings convenience and direct client access to established small consulting firms who already meet regulatory criteria for working as independent contractors and prefer to maintain operations through their own legal entities.
• Finally, we offer our “MBO Staff” payrolling service for contract-based workers who are taking a first step on the road to independence.

Where We Came From
MBO — which is derived from the name of our industry-leading "MyBizOffice" technology — was founded in 1986 and is a privately held Virginia corporation. We are more than 90% employee-owned, so we answer to no one but our customers. We’ve grown our business the way the best consultants do – with hard work, dedication, and a commitment to continual improvement. This commitment has pushed us to become the world’s leading provider of comprehensive independent consultant solutions – and a driving force behind the energy of the emerging Project Economy.

Our hard work is paying off. We are consistently profitable, financially strong, and we have enjoyed double-digit growth since 2003.
